Welcome to SWE-CRS!
Welcome to the Society of Women Engineers Chicago Regional Section website. As one of the largest SWE sections, we strive to provide members and partners with valuable programs and networking opportunities. We want to inspire women to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders and help them as they seek to be their authentic selves in all stages of their careers and lives. Whether your are interested in professional development, outreach, or networking with fellow women engineers, SWE-CRS has something for you.

SWE-CRS Professional Mentorship Program Registration is Open!
Register by January 15
January is National Mentoring Month! SWE-CRS is starting a 6-month professional mentorship program to help our local members connect with one another across different experience levels and professional interests.
Throughout the program, we expect mentors and mentees to meet on a monthly basis beginning in January and running through the end of the fiscal year in June. The SWE-CRS team will provide some initial direction and tools at a kickoff meeting at the end of January, but this will largely be a self-driven program. Following the 6-month program, mentors and mentees would be encouraged to continue their mentorship relationship if it is mutually beneficial!
Please sign-up in the link below by January 15, 2023. Mentorship pairs will be assigned by the end of January before a kickoff meeting on Tuesday, January 31.

Endowed scholarship created in memory of SWE member Wendy Landwehr
In the summer of 2017, the Chicago Regional Section (CRS) leadership learned of the sudden passing of Wendy Landwehr. Wendy was a past CRSpresident, a past member of the Board of Directors for SWE, and a newly elected trustee. To help the memory of Wendy live on, CRS is establishing an endowed scholarship in her memory. This scholarship will be awarded to a female college student studying engineering.

One of Wendy’s passions within SWE was working with the students, so a scholarship named after her was the best way CRS determined to keep her spirit alive. Visit here to make a donation, or checks can be mailed to: SWE Chicago Regional Section, PO Box 95525, Palatine, IL 60095-0525. Please make a note that the donation is for the Wendy Landwehr Fund.
